Mountain Biking

Ever since the invention of the bobbing wheels in 1817, cycling has become principal means of environment friendly and recreational mode of transportation throughout. Powering oneself down the road with the wind in one’s hair is one of the greatest metaphors of life. Looking at the present scenario of depleting fossil fuels, traffic congestion, crowded parking spaces and air/ noise pollution, cycling is regaining popularity as a means of regular transport over moderate to short distances.

Being an eco friendly activity that tests one’s endurance and rejuvenates the senses, we believe that mountain biking is the best way to explore the pristine Tirthan valley and its surrounding without leaving behind any of those carbon footprints. Trails vary from relaxed short rides for the beginners along the Tirthan River to more challenging half to full day technical trails on the dirt/muddy tracks, to the almost ‘un-climbable’ curves leading up to the Jalori Pass, giving riders a feeling of “Being Out There”. We can customize a mountain biking trip to close by places like Shoja, Jalori Pass, Khanag, Paneo, Takrasi, Bahu, Gada Gushaini and Janjheli.

As the joke goes - “A bicycle is just as good company as most husbands and when it gets old and shabby, a woman can dispose of it and get a new one without shocking the entire community”
